made-to-measure
shirts.

You've probably experienced it before. The collar fits but the sleeves are too short, the sleeves are perfect but the neck feels tight. The shoulders fit but there's too much fabric around the waist. Off-the-peg shirts are built around averages, people aren't average.

The Best Shirts Aren't Found. They're Made. There is something quietly satisfying about wearing a shirt that fits exactly as it should.

The collar sits comfortably without feeling tight. The sleeves finish at precisely the right point beneath your jacket. There is no excess fabric around the waist, no pulling across the chest and no compromise because one part of your body happens to be a different size from another. That is the difference a made to measure shirt makes.

At Tasker & Shaw, every shirt is created exclusively for you. Cut from your own measurements and crafted in the cloth you choose, it becomes one of those garments you instinctively reach for because it simply feels right every time you put it on.

WHY CHOOSE A MADE-TO-MEASURE SHIRT?

Off-the-peg shirts are designed to fit as many people as possible.
Made to measure shirts are designed to fit one.

Every shirt begins with a comprehensive set of measurements, allowing us to create a pattern that reflects your individual proportions. Whether you have broad shoulders, a slim waist, longer arms or simply struggle to find shirts that fit comfortably, a made to measure shirt removes the compromises of standard sizing. Once you've experienced a shirt made specifically for you, it's remarkably difficult to return to buying shirts off the shelf.

WHY TASKER & SHAW?

We believe that exceptional clothing begins long before the first stitch. Every appointment starts with a conversation. We'll discuss how you wear your shirts, the occasions they're intended for, the fit you prefer and the details that matter to you. Some clients want a crisp business shirt to wear every day and others are looking for shirts to complement a wedding suit, formal evening wear or something more relaxed for weekends.

Our role isn't to tell you what you should wear, It's to create a shirt that reflects exactly what you want.

With hundreds of Fabrics and endless Possibilities, a made to measure shirt should never feel restrictive. Our collection includes hundreds of premium shirting fabrics from some of the world's finest mills, offering an exceptional choice of colours, textures and weaves.

Whether you're looking for a classic white business shirt, a light blue Oxford, a bold check, linen for summer or a luxurious twill, you'll have the freedom to create something that's unmistakably yours.

Your shirt is designed Down to the Smallest Detail, one of the pleasures of commissioning a made to measure shirt is choosing the details. You'll be able to personalise almost every aspect of your shirt, including:

Collar style
Cuff style
Buttons
Monogramming
Contrast fabrics
Pocket options
Placket style
Fit
Sleeve length

The result is a shirt that reflects your own style rather than someone else's idea of what you should wear.

A well-made shirt isn't simply about appearance. A better fit improves comfort throughout the day. Higher quality fabrics feel softer, breathe more effectively and retain their appearance for longer. Attention to construction means collars sit properly, cuffs keep their shape and the shirt continues looking smart after years of wear. It is often the shirt people wear most frequently that offers the greatest return on investment.

Once we've created your pattern, there's no need to start again, because your measurements stay with us. We'll securely retain your measurements, making future orders wonderfully straightforward.

Whether you'd like another business shirt, something more casual or a different fabric for a new season, reordering is simply a matter of choosing your cloth.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is the difference between bespoke and made to measure?

A made to measure shirt begins with an existing pattern which is adjusted to your individual measurements.

A bespoke shirt is created from an entirely unique pattern drafted specifically for you from scratch. Both offer an exceptional fit, but made to measure provides outstanding value while meeting the needs of the vast majority of clients.

How many measurements do you take?

We take a comprehensive range of body measurements to ensure your shirt fits beautifully, alongside discussing your preferred style and fit.

Can I choose every detail?

Yes. From collar and cuffs to fabric, buttons and monograms, almost every aspect of your shirt can be personalised.

Do you keep my measurements?

Absolutely. Once we've created your shirt, your measurements are securely stored, making future orders quick and consistent.

How long does a made to measure shirt take?

We'll discuss lead times during your consultation, as they vary depending on fabric availability and production schedules, but a good rule of thumb is between 4 and 6 weeks.
