Carlisle is where it all started, and it's still the heart of everything we do. Tucked into the historic borderlands, this city shaped how we work: the welcome we give, the relationships we build, the honest craftsmanship we won't compromise on.
We work out of a historic townhouse, and we've made sure it feels nothing like a shop. Think private study rather than retail floor. A quiet, easy space where you can sit down, talk things through, and figure out what actually suits you, no pressure, no sales patter.
Cumbria has a serious textile heritage. For centuries this was weaving and cloth country, sitting right at the crossroads between Scotland and England. You can still feel that history in the buildings, and in a very Northern respect for things that are made properly. We're proud to keep that tradition going. The old mill chimneys have gone quiet, but the appetite for a well-made garment hasn't. Every suit we make uses cloth from some of the best mills anywhere, built to be worn for years, not seasons.
Every consultation in Carlisle is relaxed and unhurried. Over a coffee, or maybe something from a local distillery, we'll talk about your life, what you need your wardrobe to do, and where to go from there. It's a conversation, not a pitch.
